Tom Anderson, creator of the now widely known blog website for teenagers a college students, has an interesting life story. Myspace is not the only interesting thing about him. There is MUCH MORE.
Tom Anderson was born into a family of God. Both his parents were very religious, even though his parents came from two different religions, his Mother was a Conservative Jew, and his father was a Presbyterian. He was raised Presbyterian, even though his Mother favored if he was a Jew, but his Father could never take a Jewish son.
Anderson's mother was introduced to the Jews for Jesus by a friend. When she first heard about it, she thought "Christian cult..." but once coming back from a lecture, she had to attend more. So she did attend more, soon making her husband attend. They both found so much truth through the Jews for Jesus. They joined the Jews for Jesus within months. But Tom didn't understand it. As much as he learned, he didn't feel any enlightment or truth. Though he ignored it, and attended lectures with his parents.
In Tom's childhood, he found out he had dyslexia. He wasn't doing good in school at all, because of his disorder. His Aunt recommended going to sessions at the Church of Scientology center. His mother resisted, because she heard it was a cult and didn't want to be forced to convert, or brainwashed, but they were desperate, so he took sessions with the anti-prescription drug, anti-psychology church. Within 2 year, he overcame dyslexia, yet sometimes he has problems with reading.
His family never joined the Church of Scientology, because they had such a strong faith in Jews For Jesus. Yet Tom had learned a lot about it, and became very interested. He became a member at the age of 14, but leaving within a few weeks. He was never officially a member.
Tom was doing well in school, and was put in all the honor classes. He had graduated earlier, at 16 years old. He didn't want to go to college immediately, so he took a few years off, and worked at a restraunt. He noticed that most of the employees at the restraunt were Japanese or Korean. He wondered, for the area was pretty much White. He found out that the restraunt was owned by the Unification Church. At the time, he didn't know what it was and ignored working for some "Christian church".
Tom was secretly a homo sexual. Every once in a while he'd go to gay clubs, but he didn't like "clubbing" so he hardly ever date. He sometimes would go on blinddates, always with girls, though. Nobody knew about his secret.
Anderson attended University of California, Berkeley from 1993 to 1996, and graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor's Degree in English & Rhetoric. During this time, Tom was confused about God. All the religions he had experienced seemed to be filled with just information, no truth. He knew God was real, though, and prayed to him each day. Then one day Jesus spoke to him in a dream. "Go to the brick building!" The next day, Tom drove around town for an hour or so, but then he found the brick building. It was a center owned by the Unification Church.
Tom attended lectures, and read the Divine Principle. He discovered that this was the truth, and also discovered that homo sexuality is wrong, and goes against the laws of creation, and is extremely selfish. He went to Chyung Pyung, a Korean holyground owned by the UC, and became a new man. He was a Unificationist.
Tom wanted to use his knowledge in computers to unify young people all over the world, and help people build a love for all. Tom create www.myspace.com in 2003, a blog site that contained information about the users, forums, emailing system, and groups that members could join. Myspace was a success. By 2005, everyone throughout american highschools knew about myspace. It became more popular each day.
